Many insurance carriers will provide a discount if you get a quote before you purchase. That’s right–just a quote. In fact, one carrier will give you this discount if you quote only one day before your actual policy is effective. More commonly, the quote must be at least seven (7) days in advance.
Example: You get a quote on February 1st, and start your new policy is effective on or after February 8th.
Most insurance carriers will provide you a discount if you pay the entire premium when you purchase the policy.
When you have had a clean driving record for at least 3-years, you may be able to get a discount. This means no tickets or accidents in the 3-years prior to purchasing the policy.
If you pay your premium in monthly or quarterly installments, and you always pay them on-time, you can get a discount with some of the insurance companies. This is quite simply the easiest discount to get.
With some insurance companies, if you have no at-fault claims at the time your policy renews, you can qualify for a discount.
Own a home, including a condo, townhouse, duplex, single- or double-wide? You’ll own another discount just for being a homeowner.
If you’ve had continuous insurance for several years, you can get a discount with most companies. In fact, they will honor the time you’ve had coverage with your previous insurer. In some cases, you may get an additional discount for having insurance prior to starting your new RV insurance policy.
Another one of those super easy discounts to get. If you simply select to receive your policy documents via email or online account, some insurance carriers will provide a discount.
Small Accidents: As soon as you start your Progressive RV policy, you’ll earn small accident forgiveness. That means your RV insurance rate won’t increase if you have a claim of $500 or less.
Large Accidents: Once you’ve been a Progressive RV insurance customer for at least four years and accident-free for the past three years, your rate will not go up for any RV accident.
Select this option and your insurance carrier may deduct 25% from your deductible amount for every claim-free renewal period on your RV insurance policy. In fact, they will continue to reduce the deductible all the way down to $0.
