Information You Will Need

Whether you're going to call IronPoint to assist you with
your claim, or you are going to call in your loss directly to the insurance carrier, you will need information.

Please get the following information and have it available when you make the call (not all apply):

Police Report Number

Contact Information of Witnesses

Loss Address or Location

Insurance Information of the other party

Home Inventory (if Home loss)

Receipts (if applicable loss of use)

Photos (if you have them)

Video (if you have it)

Mitigate Your Damages

Please do your best to control the costs associated with your claim. Do not put yourself in harms way, however, only do so if doing it does not put you in any danger.

The types of things that can be extremely helpful are as follows:

  1. Move you vehicle from any storage if it can be done so safely.
  2. If you have a home loss and there are minor repairs you can do to protect against more 
    damage, please take care of this. Keep you receipts for reimbursement.

Help Your Claims Adjuster

Your claims adjuster is here to help, they will assist you through the entire claims process. You need to make yourself available during their investigation so that your interests are represented properly and that they can properly determine how payment is to be made. It will also assist you in getting any covered property you have submitted a claim on processed more efficiently.
